Absolutely everything is made in house here, this is our team’s favourite choice for a more upscale meal in the city. They even made Canada's Top 100 Restaurants List!
Cedar Creek Home Block – Offering a prix fixe menu for both lunch and dinner, Home Block delivers West Coast Modern cuisine thoughtfully paired with their award winning wines. A wonderful experience to enjoy the terroir of the Okanagan. Make sure to try their signatures, the burrata and the crispy Humboldt squid to really get the full experience.
Old Vines Restaurant at Quails' Gate Winery – Nestled in West Kelowna, this spot offers breathtaking vineyard views and a farm-to-table experience, featuring fresh local ingredients paired with excellent Okanagan wines. Brunch, Happy Hour, Dinner, they have it all!
Casual Options
Salt & Brick – This cozy eatery on Bernard Avenue is perfect for sharing tapas-style dishes, made from locally sourced ingredients. Their menu changes regularly, ensuring fresh ingredients are at the forefront. Think cool vibe, cool staff, great food.
Craft Beer Market – A great spot for craft beer lovers, featuring a wide range of local and international brews alongside casual, hearty pub fare that is surprisingly flavour packed. In the summer, this place comes alive with it's massive rooftop patio with lake views.
Roma Nord – An Italian favourite in Kelowna, offering delicious pizzas and pastas in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Have a meal here then easily catch a show in the theatre or at Prospera Place. Sandwiches for lunch here also reallllly hit the spot.
Lunch Favourites
Little Hobo Sandwich Shop. – Known for fresh, locally sourced sandwiches, soups, and baked goods. A perfect downtown Kelowna spot for a no fuss quick and tasty lunch.
Dunnenzies Pizza – Offering creative pizza options, Dunnenzies is a go-to for those looking for casual lunch bites with bold flavors.
Mad Mango Café – A hidden gem serving up a fusion of Asian and Western dishes, ideal for a quick lunch downtown that is sure to be packed with flavour.
Breweries
Red Bird Brewing – A popular local brewery with a welcoming vibe, Red Bird Brewing offers great craft beer and often hosts live music. They feature an extensive pizza menu, as well as other great shareables.
Kettle River Brewing – Known for its creative brews and relaxed atmosphere, it's a great place to grab a pint, and they also do an excellent brunch complete with trivia on Sundays. The food here is just unreal.
Vice & Virtue Brewing – Located in the brewery district, this spot is perfect for those seeking innovative craft beers with a menu of tasty bites. They house cure their own meats for charcuterie boards, and they have a games area out back to enjoy.
Wild Card
Micro Bar and Bites – Happy Hour? I want to be here? Snack? I want to be here? Late Night? Yeah, you guessed it, I want to be here. Incredible classic cocktails, innovative and delicious signature cocktails, and shareable's to make your mouth water, this is in my top list of favourite places to go in Kelowna.
Bon Ga Korean – If you have yet to try Korean food, this is your sign. While this place may not be my first recommendation for eat in, getting take out from Bon Ga has never disappointed. Meals absolutely exploding with flavour, reasonable prices, and locally owned - we love that!
Wasabi – While it may sound like a sushi spot, Wasabi is known for its ultra comforting ramen and karaage chicken. No fuss service, cold beer, and satisfying food really is all that you need. They also have a food truck that often parks outside Rail Side Brewing, if you're wanting to enjoy the delicious soups and appies in another atmosphere.
Frankie We Salute You – I know that vegan / vegetarian fare may throw some people off a bit, but I can tell you that even the most devoted carnivore will love eating here. The cocktail, mocktail, and wine list is excellent, but the food really is the star here. Super flavourful, hearty, and healthy meals await in an easy and chic atmosphere. You will walk out of this restaurant SO satisfied.
